2025 Presenter/Speaker Terms and Conditions
-
All solo acts and groups must apply online, even if you have performed with us before. We review all applicants every year. Even as we strive for continuity, we cannot guarantee any performer a contract based on participation in previous festivals.
-
The festival is a family event. Weapons, intoxicating herbals and alcohol are not permitted. Performers are asked to use good taste and refrain from overt religious expressions and obscenities. Please remember that our audience is made up of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs.
-
After you submit your application, you will receive an acknowledgement by email. At that time we will let you know if and where to send any additional materials.
-
All applicants MUST provide a valid email address that is checked regularly. Email is our default primary means of communication. Please let us know ASAP if your email address changes at any point, and please check your SPAM settings to ensure that you will receive email from the Festival. If communicating by email will be difficult or impossible for you, please let us know and provide us with an appropriate alternate means of communication (cell phone, home phone, etc) on your application.
-
The festival reserves the right to reject any application for any reason.
-
It will be permissible for booked performers to collect tips and also sell CDs and other merchandise related to their acts. More information about entertainer sales will be provided in the contract if your application is accepted.
-
Performers may be permitted to run a merchant booth in addition to performing. The festival Vending Committee will need to be independently consulted on and approve all such requests.
-
The festival and its organizers and staff are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged goods.
-
Entertainers are required to carry their own liability insurance and insurance on their own property. Further details and specifications are provided in the contract.
-
Should circumstances beyond the Festival's control (act of God, public calamity, withdrawal or suspension of any license or permit, weather) result in the prevention of a performance, the Festival shall not be liable to the performer for fees, costs, expenses, or damage of any nature.
-
The performer will hold harmless the Festival organizers and sponsors against all claims, liabilities, damage and expenses (including expenses of litigation and attorney’s fees), asserted or incurred against said Festival organizers and sponsors arising in whole or in part out of the performer’s activities as specified by this contract, including but not limited to personal injury to or property damage incurred by performer and performer’s staff. In addition the performer hereby agrees to this release, on his/her behalf and on behalf of all participants in their organization or group, and affirm that they are informed of this waiver of responsibility, and, by their individual and group participation, they too agree to this waiver as though signed by each and every one of them.
-
Lodging is not provided as part of a normal contract. If you need lodging, please notify the Entertainment Coordinator ASAP.
